Tennis Programs

ACTC is a community tennis club that offers a wide variety of programming for tennis enthusiasts of all levels.

House League

House league will be held on two nights again this year: Monday night will be designated for advanced players (NTPR rating 4.0+) and Wednesday night will be designated for intermediate players (NTPR rating 3.0+). Unsure of your rating? Check out the NTPR rating guidelines, or contact Club Pro Jordan Master to arrange for a brief, complimentary assessment.

Interested in playing house league this season? Registration for house league will open in mid-March and will not be combined with membership registration this year. Watch for an email containing a link for house league registration and $20 fee payment through CourtReserve.

Spots are limited and fill up fast.

Intercounty Teams

ACTC is a member of the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA), which oversees the Intercounty League. Many members find competitive play to be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to challenge themselves. Intercounty teams play for approximately 14 weeks, from mid-May until mid-August. Half of the games are played away; thus some travel is involved. Members of a team should be available to play for most of the matches. If you cannot commit to the whole season, but would like to participate, please do so, as we always need subs throughout the season.

Tournaments

Tournaments are one of the most enjoyable features of membership at ACTC. They are organized by volunteers, usually board members and the Club Pro. The “social” tournaments like the French Open, Wimbledon and Halloween tournaments provide an opportunity for members to get to know each other. The emphasis is on fun rather than competition. The ACTC year-end club tournament is a “competitive” tournament organized by our Tournament Director and Club Pro for members to enjoy some competitive tennis. Players are seeded for these tournaments and the competition can be challenging. For the players moving into the semi-finals and finals, it can be a major physical challenge due to the amount of tennis played within a short period of time. All members are encouraged to participate as a way to build experience and test their skills under tournament conditions.

Other Programs

ACTC offers programs for both adults and juniors, including lessons, development clinics, live ball and ladies’ socials. More information about 2024 programming will be posted in the spring.

Summer Camp
